Our black rice is 100% precooked and individually quick-frozen (IQF) for maximum efficiency and consistent quality. The deep, black-dark brown colour provides a striking presentation, while the grain remains beautifully ‘al dente’ after preparation.
This product can be portioned directly from the freezer and regenerated quickly in the microwave, combi-steamer, or by a short stir-fry. It eliminates the long cooking time of black rice and guarantees a fixed food cost.
The firm texture and slightly nutty flavour make this rice a perfect base for modern dishes. Use it to add colour and texture to salads and bowls, or as a surprising component in hot Eastern dishes.
- Heat the frozen rice for 30 seconds in hot, lightly salted water (± 95°C).
- Stir fry for 3 minutes.
- Heat the frozen rice for approx. 4 minutes in a combi steamer (100°C, 100% steam).
