Our farfalle is made from durum wheat semolina and has the recognisable butterfly shape. The pasta is precooked ‘al dente’, lightly oiled, and individually quick-frozen (IQF) for a loose and ready-to-use product.
Regeneration takes only 30 seconds, which guarantees a fast and efficient service. The pasta can be portioned directly from the freezer, leading to a reliable food cost.
The shape, with its firm center and thinner ‘wings’, provides an interesting mouthfeel. Farfalle is an excellent choice for cold pasta salads, where the shape remains clearly visible, and it pairs perfectly with light sauces and finely chopped vegetables.
- Heat the frozen pasta for 30 seconds in hot, lightly salted water (± 95°C).
- Fry the frozen pasta together with the sauce in a pan.
- Heat the frozen pasta for approx. 4 minutes in a combi steamer (100°C, 100% steam).
